Existing Email Setup – Outlook

Microsoft Outlook

• Step 1: Start Microsoft Outlook
• Step 2: In the top left of your screen, click onto File
• Step 3: Click onto Account Settings. This will open a drop-down menu, click onto Account Settings again.
• Step 4: Click onto your E-mail Address, then click onto Change
• Step 5: Click onto More Settings
• Step 6: Click onto the Advanced tab.
• Step 7: For configuring IMAP, please follow steps 8-13, if configuring POP3, follow steps 14-20.
IMAP
• Step 8: Change the Incoming server (IMAP) to 993.
• Step 9: Change “Use the following type of encrypted connection” from None, to SSL/TLS. If SSL/TLS does not display, change it from None, to SSL.
• Step 10: Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587.
• Step 11: Change “Use the following type of encrypted connection” from None, to SSL/TLS. If SSL/TLS does not display, change it from None, to SSL.

• Step 12: Click OK, then on the “Change Account” window, click Next.
• Step 13: Outlook will then test your new email settings, and return with “Test Completed” if set up correctly.
• Step 13: Congratulations, your email account now set up with Microsoft Outlook!
POP
• Step 14: Change the Incoming server (POP3) to 995.
• Step 15: Select “This server requires and encrypted connected (SSL/TLS), if not already selected. If SSL/TLS does not display, change it from None, to SSL.
• Step 16: Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587.
• Step 17: Change “Use the following type of encrypted connection” from None, to SSL/TLS. If SSL/TLS does not display, change it from None, to SSL.

• Step 18: Click OK, then on the “Change Account” window, click Next.
• Step 19: Outlook will then test your new email settings, and return with “Test Completed” if set up correctly.
• Step 20: Congratulations, your email account now set up with Microsoft Outlook!
